La la, la la la Back when everything was good Back when everything was good When we tumbled and we played Slumbered in the shade and everything was good At the rising of the sun Back when everything was one And we were lovely, we were la la la la la… The days and the grass were green and endless Back when everything was good We rolled down the hills and laughed ourselves senseless Back when everything was good. Nothing was harsh Nothing was bad There was no danger, so sinsick sadness All that we needed was all that we had Back when everything was good. We were hungry, we would eat We were sleepy, we would sleep Every creature was a friend Nothing to defend and everything was good In the softness of the breeze And the lushness of the trees And we were lovely, we were la la la la la… We gave loving names to all that were nameless Back when everything was good Surrounded by grace we were perfectly blameless Back when everything was good Nothing to judge Bodies were bare There were no edges, but clean awareness All that we wanted was all that we dared Back when everything was good In our world, in our dreams We knew nothing would ever change Back when everything was free There was every kind of tree There was one that was so tall and it was lovely, it was la la la la la… We reached out our hands, la la And received what we asked, la la Nothing was wrong, nothing untrue Believing in You then was just so easy, All that we needed was all that we knew Back when everything was good. Laissez-faire, devil-may-care Back when everything was good.

Take it Back 04:38
Wait. I didn’t mean it. Well, not exactly. I thought the warnings were exaggerated. Was it fate? A moment of weakness? Well, not exactly. But your veracity was overrated. Still not sure I should have settled to endure. But ‘til you showed me what I didn’t have You know, I didn’t know I wanted more. A tiny transgression, a lifetime of regret. If I hadn’t made that move that day, that move that day, I’d be in Eden yet. What I shoulda said, what I shoulda done Was, “No way,” was run, run, run. See? The consequences are not exactly Quite proportionate to my infraction. Is it me? Or is it repentence? It’s not exactly Such an equal opposite reaction. What could go wrong? People do it every day. Your argument was compelling. A tiny transgression…

Bewildered in the wilderness wandering without rest I guess I’m learning patience, but I’m tired of the lesson This path goes in circles; lost my trail of crumbs If I had known how hard this would be, don’t know if I’d have come Feels like forty (forty days) Feels like forty (forty nights) Feels like forty (forty years) I want, I want, I want something. There is no turning back; the clock does not rewind But there should be some purpose here and not this awful grind Feels like forty… I’m parched There’s dust in my throat, sweat’s stinking my eyes, I must abandon all hope This ain’t no place for a wayfaring stranger And I’m a torch Ands I’m ripe for a light, and the safety is off, And I’m primed for a fight. How did I become the one who’s a danger? Feels like forty… I want it now.

Roll out the day, roll out the day. Roll out the day like a big red carpet, it’s an honor just to be here. Look at all the beautiful faces, I’m in love with everybody I see here. Let me thank the One whose love has brought me all this way; Let that love keep filling me so I can live out today Roll out the day, like a big red carpet today I’m steppin’ out, gonna bring it my best, I’m gonna soak up every moment; I’ll make mistakes, but I won’t let it stress me, and I won’t just go through the motions. This is it, today’s the day, for this I was created It’s the only day we’ve got, it can’t be replicated Roll out the day like a big red carpet today Hey, there, sunshine. You know you have a part here in this place and time; The party wouldn’t be the same without you here So lose the fear Cause the One who’s got you is the One who rolls out the day Like a big red carpet today.

The mountains held me with security I ran along their summits, slept in their hollows But I can’t find my way home Who am I without you? Where am I if I am not beloved in your eyes? Let me find myself in you, let me see, let me touch your face again. I remember some scrap of a melody. A ghost of lyric beckons, but I can’t follow And I can’t find my way home. How can I sing my song in this such a strange land? I do not have a name or shape in this dislocation. There is no map, but only stars, and their light is cold and hard as ice. Who am I without you…?

Ingenue 04:27
She’s perky, she’s spunky, she’s wide-eyed and winsome; She’s charming, intrepid, and true. Each comment a curtsey, vivacious, and then some, And there’s nothing that she could not do. The doors open wide to the sweet and precocious, She came to expect every prize. Then one day she spoke up and nobody noticed, And she smiled and the sun did not rise. And this is where the ingénue falters And this is where the ingénue cries And this is where the ingénue stumbles And this is where the ingénue dies. That Doris Day smile is no longer effective; The sparkle is stinging her eyes. And time ticks along as it shifts all perspective, And it worsens the harder she tries. And this is where… The studio sees nothing more She’s swept up from the cutting room floor And all that remains is what’s real All she’s relied on, well, time’s done its thieving She’s mortal, invisible, wise. She’s learning to navigate, no time for grieving And she stands under merciless skies And this is where the ingénue…flies.

Everything I thought I knew, I don’t. Everything I thought I’d do, well, it looks like I won’t,

This is Home 05:07
I know where I am; I recognize the place. This is who I was before the conversations, expectations, before I had a face. This is what I see when my eyes are closed. After all the pattered thoughts fly thunderherd, all scatter-shot, when time at last was slowed. This is home. This is me. I am you. And You are everything. This is how it breathes, how the Spirit blows. After all the tumbling knocks, the slippery slopes, the stumbling blocks, I find the gentle flow. The sky above the clouds, the sea beneath the earth Even when my eyes are blind, my ears are deaf, my clenching mind will open like a birth. This is home. This is me. I am you. And You are everything.

Apocalypso 04:44
These are my days not yet a story Scattered behind me: memento mori Time is running, time is running, time is running. Sift through the hours searching for salvage; What was essential? How much was baggage? Time is running, time is running, time is running. Nothing less than apocalypse Apocalypso, well it all comes down to this: it all comes down. Shake, shake shaken, day is breakin’, time to waken, unmistaken, ah… Dies irae or day of pardon? Will the heart open or will it harden? Time is running, time is running, time is running. Weight on the scales, this pile and that one; Listen, the wind blows, everything scatters Time is running, time is running, time is running. Nothing less than apocalypse Apocalypso, well it all comes down to this: it all comes down. Shake, shake shaken, day is breakin’, wimte to waken, unmistaken, ah… It’s the day-o (day-o) The Day o’ Reckoning, The Day - Misere , misere, mise--- Grace is beckoning And time is singing, time is laughing, and when the fight is over The only thing left standing is the love, love, love, love Only thing left standing is the love, love, love, love Time is singing, time is laughing, love, love, love, love, Time is singing, time is laughing, love, love, love, love, Let this be my epitaph: Forgiveness is everything.
